ISQua

The International Society for Quality in Health Care Inc. (ISQua) is a non-profit, independent organization with the mission to continuously improve the quality and safety of the healthcare worldwide. Since 1999 ISQua also performs accreditation and at the moment is the only international accreditation system that ‘Accredits the Accreditors’. ISQua offers a 4 year accreditation for:

• National accreditation bodies

• Service specific external evaluation bodies (i.e. Blood Transfusion, Autism Services)

• Healthcare standards

• Surveyor training programs

The target groups for ISQua are healthcare professionals, providers, researchers, agencies, policy makers and consumers. ISQua has accredited several of the described accreditation systems and therefore the transparency of the accredited accreditation systems is higher than non-accredited accreditation systems.
