In China, the Ministry of Health formulates the regulations for the medical industry. The ministry supervises the industrywide services of the medical institutions (including Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) hospitals, national hospitals, etc.) and has also developed an establishment for the medical service evaluation. In order to control the medical service, technology, quality of care and blood collection, there is an independent government agency which controls the standards. The Ministry of Health of The People’s Republic of China also sees the opportunities of TCM as an export product. Therefore the ministry additionally controls the quality of traditional Chinese medicine.
