Cancer

There are at least 120 different types of cancer — all of them frightening, worthy of serious attention, and often demanding expensive treatment. Although modern medicine has greatly improved survival, there is still a general fear of even discussing cancer, and facilities providing cancer treatment tend not to feature such care in their promotions. If you would like more information on cancer treatment, look for facilities that offer “general” care — especially the large hospital systems in Asia. They also commonly include a broad variety of alternative and complementary medicine in the same facility. In India, for example, you can have not only stateoftheart western medicine, but also ayurvedic treatment, with practitioners working well together as a team.
